21 CHS students graduate from Innovation Pathway Program

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (June 6, 2025) – Twenty-one Chelmsford High School students were recently celebrated for completing the Innovation Pathway Program, which was introduced when they were freshmen.

Jon Morris, the K-12 Science Department Coordinator for Chelmsford Public Schools, explained that the Innovation Pathway Program is designed to provide students with a glimpse into certain industry sectors.

“CHS is fortunate to have exceptional staff and administrative support to offer four pathways – information technology, business and finance, life science and advanced engineering and manufacturing,” he said. “Through a series of guest speakers, coursework, site visits, capstone projects and internships, our students have developed a significantly stronger understanding than many other students in the state of what their career passions are.”

CHS Principal Stephen Murray congratulated the students who completed the Innovation Pathway Program for their drive and commitment over the last four years.

“You’ve taken on a challenge that demands curiosity, initiative, vision and you exceeded our expectations,” he said. “Your work over the years has not only shaped your own future, but most importantly, it’s helped shape the program for those who are going to follow in your footsteps. You’ve been our best ambassadors, representing what’s possible when students are given the space, the innovation, time and tools needed to succeed.”

Murray also thanked the staff members who have helped the pathways come alive in the classroom.

“Your passion, your guidance and your belief in what the students can achieve is the heart of the program,” he said.

John MacIsaac, Dean of Whittier House, said he cannot wait to see what the future holds for the Innovation Pathway Program and the students who take that avenue at CHS.

“At this school, we try to offer as many opportunities as possible, and this program has helped us do that for our students,” he said.
