The Sun: Plenty of thrills for fans, but Chelmsford falls to Andover

In terms of pure Friday night excitement, Chelmsford High School football fans got their money’s worth at Simonian Stadium in the home team’s Merrimack Valley Conference opener.
Unfortunately, they went home disappointed. Chelmsford made four crucial second-half turnovers in a wild game that featured six lead changes and ended in a 48-36 loss to Andover.
Both teams are now 1-1.
“I’m really proud of our kids. The majority of our guys are two-way players. They fought to the bitter end. (I) thought our kids played very tough, very hard, and just ran out of gas at the end,” Chelmsford head coach George Peterson said.
