The Sun: Chelmsford football team blanks Dracut, 25-0

Chelmsford High’s defenders weren’t happy with allowing nearly 50 points last week.
Then the Lions went out and did something about it. Flying to the ball all night, Chelmsford blanked Merrimack Valley Conference rival Dracut on Thursday, 25-0, under the lights at Simonian Stadium.
Chelmsford (2-1) opened with a 35-26 win at Lincoln-Sudbury, but the Lions were coming off a 48-36 defeat to MVC opponent Andover.
Dracut (1-2) has dropped two straight after opening with an impressive 25-22 victory over Pentucket Regional.
Both teams return to MVC action next Friday.
Dracut will entertain Lowell, while Chelmsford will travel to take a tough Tewksbury squad.
