
Chelmsford High School announces Students of the Month for June

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (June 6, 2025) – Six seniors were recently honored as Chelmsford High School named its Lions Pride/Rotary Student of the Month recipients for June, announced CHS Principal Stephen Murray.
Students receiving recognition were Pallavi Menon and Nabeeha Baig from Emerson House, Alice Spiller and Charlotte Buckley of Hawthorne House and Andrew DiStasi and Maggie Luke from Whittier House.
Pallavi Menon
“An intellectually curious and highly motivated student,” Menon was most recently enrolled in AP English, AP American Government and Politics, AP PLTW Computer Science Principles, AP Biology, Calculus, Spanish 3 and Sociology.
Her hard work and determination earned Menon membership in the National Honor Society (NHS), as well as her recognition as a commended top scholar at both the Gracia Bunker Hill and Arlington St. Nick’s Speech and Debate Tournaments.
Menon is an active member of the CHS community, participating in Speech and Debate, South Asian Student Association, the Newspaper Club and the Mentor Program.
Outside of school, Menon spends time volunteering at the Chelmsford Public Library.
Following graduation, Menon plans to attend Brandeis University to major in Economics.
She is the daughter of Vivek Vishnudas and Priya Menon
Nabeeha Baig
“A thoughtful, resilient and enthusiastic student,” Baig was enrolled in Calculus, AP English Literature & Composition, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP Environmental Science, Communications/Media and Intro to Criminal Justice.
Her determination and dedication earned Baig membership in the NHS and World Language Honors Society; she was also recognized as an AP Scholar.
Baig has been involved in the Women in STEM Club, and has served as Vice President of the CHS Muslim Student Association and as Events Coordinator for the CHS Body Positivity Alliance.
After leaving CHS, Baig plans to attend UMass Lowell to join the Honors College to major in Biotechnology.
She is the daughter of Mirza Moazzam Ali Baig and Ameena Anjum Khan.
Alice Spiller
During her senior year, Spiller took on a diverse and rigorous course load that included AP Psychology, AP Art, Statistics, Early Childhood 3, Nutrition, Modern World Literature and Sociology.
Her hard work and strong commitment to service and leadership earned Spiller induction to NHS.
Beyond the classroom, Spiller was actively involved in Unified Basketball and Sophomore Success, as well as a member of the CHS Door Painting Club and a Class of 2025 representative.
Described as “kind, caring and genuine,” Spiller has dedicated her time outside of CHS to teaching and mentoring young artists through her ongoing work at the Refuge Art School.
In the fall, Spiller will attend the University of Rhode Island to double major in Kinesiology and Elementary Education.
She is the daughter of Gordon and Kelley Spiller.
Charlotte Buckley
During her final year at CHS, Buckley was enrolled in AP Research, AP Psychology, Sociology, Pre-Calculus and Modern World Literature; she also participated in Sophomore Success and in the CHS PAVE classroom.
“An engaged and enthusiastic contributor to the CHS community,” Buckley has participated in Best Buddies and Unified Basketball.
She also had a distinguished four-year career with the Varsity Girls Basketball Team, serving as team captain during her senior year. Buckley earned numerous accolades for basketball throughout high school, including 2nd Team All-Conference as a freshman, 1st Team All-Conference as a senior and Most Improved Player during her final season.
Buckley will be attending Keene State College, where she plans to major in Early Childhood Development and continue her basketball career.
She is the daughter of Denise and Peter Buckley.
Andrew “Drew” DiStasi
During his final semester at CHS, DiStasi was enrolled in Unified PE, Athletic Training, Quantitative Reasoning, Modern World Literature, Guitar, Common Law and Trial Procedures III, Nutrition, Tools & Woodworking and Student Government; he also participated in the Senior Internship Program, interning at the Chelmsford Police Department.
A valued member of the CHS community, DiStasi competed on the CHS Boys Swim Team and CHS Baseball Team, and also participated in the CHS Theatre Guild, Mock Trial, Class Reps, CHS Tundra and Unified Game Day.
Described as “a charismatic leader,” DiStasi was recognized as Captain of the Swim and Dive Team, Head Counsel in Mock Trial, “Tundra Leader” in the Tundra, CHS Alumni Association Student Representative and served as Class President for the Class of 2025.
After graduating from CHS, DiStasi plans to attend Gettysburg College to major in Environmental Studies.
He is the son of Rebecca and Lou DiStasi
Margaret “Maggie” Luke
Luke was most recently enrolled in AP Spanish, Modern World Literature, Environmental Studies, Studio Art 3, Digital Music, Quantitative Reasoning and The Struggle for Human Rights; she also took part in the Senior Internship Program, interning at Harrington Elementary School in an art classroom.
Her hard work has earned Luke membership in NHS.
“A fierce student athlete,” Luke has been a member of the CHS Varsity Volleyball, CHS Varsity Basketball and the Varsity Outdoor Track and Field teams. She was also involved in the Freshman Mentor Program.
After leaving CHS, Luke will be attending Worcester State University to Major in Education and Art with the intention of becoming an art teacher someday. She also plans to continue her volleyball career for the Lancers.
She is the daughter of Jason Luke.
