Chelmsford High School announces Students of the Month for November

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (Nov. 21, 2025) – Six seniors were recently honored as Chelmsford High School named its Lions Pride/Rotary Student of the Month recipients for October, announced CHS Principal Stephen Murray.

Students receiving recognition were Garrett Green and Tiffany Vu from Emerson House, Ved Dingar and Vaanya Sangwan of Hawthorne House and Millan Sondhi and Sarada Koppana from Whittier House.

Garrett Green

“An exceptional student,” Green is currently enrolled in AP Statistics, AP Literature, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language & Culture, Precalculus Honors, CareerEX and Studio 2 Art.

He serves as vice president of the National World Language Honor Society and as corresponding secretary of the National Honor Society (NHS). He has also been recognized as an AP Scholar and has had two of his art pieces featured by the Massachusetts Art Education Association.

“A bright light at CHS,” Green has been an active and engaged student leader, serving as a past Class Representative, and current member of the Mentor Program and Sports Management Club. He is also a valued member of the varsity baseball team.

Green has completed more than 50 hours of community service at various local organizations; he also helped raise over $2,000 for the CHS baseball program.

In the future, Green plans on completing a post-graduate year at a preparatory school with the hope of playing college baseball.

He is the son of Heather and Robert Green.

Tiffany Vu

“A dedicated and well-rounded student,” Vu is currently enrolled in AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, Calculus, AP Spanish, AP Literature and Composition, Honors Anatomy and Physiology, and Studio Art 2.

Vu has been inducted into the NHS, Science National Honor Society (SNHS), and the National Spanish Honor Society (SHH).

A key member of the CHS volleyball team, Vu also competes on the varsity track and field team and serves as team manager for the boys volleyball team.

Beyond athletics, Vu serves as a Class Representative and is a member of Student Council, The Crescendos a cappella group and Mentor Board, for which she serves as secretary.

After leaving CHS, Vu plans to attend a four-year university to major in kinesiology, with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.

She is the daughter of Huong and Brandon Vu.

Ved Dingar

Dingar is currently taking a rigorous course load that includes AP Literature and Composition, AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP French Language and Culture, AP Physics, American History through Film and Clay Studio 2.

His dedication to his studies has earned Dingar induction into NHS, National English Honor Society (NEHS), SNHS and the World Language Honor Society for French. He has also been recognized with an AP Scholar award and the Saint Michael’s College Book Award.

In addition to his studies, Dingar is an active member of several CHS organizations including Ecology Club, Philosophy Club, Interact Club and Speech and Debate Club. He’s also a member of the varsity swim and dive team.

Outside of school, Dingar is dedicated to serving his community. He has amassed over 200 hours of community service volunteering at the Chelmsford Public Library, Chelmsford Food Pantry and Pottery Mill Lowell, as well as at numerous Zero and Hazardous Waste Collection Days.

After graduating from CHS, Dingar plans to continue his education studying electrical or biomedical engineering.

He is the son of Kavita and Dharmesh Dingar.

Vaanya Sangwan

Sangwan is currently taking a demanding course load that includes AP French Language and Culture, AP Literature and Composition, AP Physics I, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Psychology and Studio Art 2.

Her dedication to her studies has earned Sangwan induction into the NHS and French National Honor Society. In addition, she is an AP Scholar with Honor and a two-time state qualifier for debate.

In addition to her academic achievements, Sangwan is involved in numerous activities at CHS. She is the vice president of the Red Cross Club, and an active participant in LIME and Speech and Debate Club.

In addition to being a past member of the All-Town Wind Ensemble, Sangwan is the captain of the girls swim and dive team.

“An amazing person both inside and out,” Sangwan volunteers her time as a swim instructor and at the Chelmsford Public Library. She has worked as a lifeguard and interned as a pathology lab aid at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital.

After graduation, Sangwan plans to attend a four-year college to study biomedical engineering on a pre-med track.

She is the daughter of Vineet and Veenu Sangu.

Millan Sondhi

AP Calculus BC, AP Physics 1, AP US Government, AP Literature and Composition, AP Spanish, AP Psychology, and Sociology.

“A truly remarkable student,” Sondhi is a member of several honor societies including NHS, SNHS and SHH, and was recently acknowledged as a National Merit Commended Student for his performance on his PSATs.

In addition, Sondhi has earned recognition as an AP Scholar with Distinction and was an awardee of the College Board National Recognition Program.

Very active in the school community, Sondhi is a member of Class Reps, HOSA, Sports Management Club, Peer Tutoring, Unified Basketball, Speech and Debate Club and the CHS varsity basketball team.

Outside of CHS, Sondhi can be found volunteering with the Chelmsford Youth Basketball League and at a local Sunday School for Indian Culture and Language. He has also had the opportunity to do some neuroscience research at Harvard Lab, shadow doctors at Mass General Hospital, and fundraise for a school for neurodiverse children in India.

After leaving CHS, Sondhi is hoping to major in neuroscience with plans of going to med school and becoming an ER doctor.

He is the son of Rishi Sondhi and Geetanjali Sondhi.

Sarada Koppana

“An impressive student,” Koppana is currently enrolled in AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, AP Literature and Composition, Biotechnology 1 and Team Games.

In addition to earning membership into the NHS and SNHS, Koppana was recently recognized as a National Merit Commended Student for her performance on last year’s PSATs.

Koppana is very active in the CHS community and is a member of HOSA, Red Cross Club, Interact Club and Class Reps, as well as a past member of the Speech and Debate Team.

Beyond the walls of CHS, Koppana occupies her time with dance and entrepreneurship. She worked with a team of high school engineers to develop Telepark, an app designed to help Boston commuters find parking spaces.

Koppana also finds time to volunteer at Lawrence General Hospital.

After high school, Koppana hopes to attend college to major in psychology or biology and eventually pursue a career in medicine.

She is the daughter of Suseela and Kondala Rao Koppana.
