Chelmsford High School hosts Concours Oratoire 2026

On Tuesday, March 3, the Chelmsford High School World Language Department was pleased to again host the Concours Oratoire 2026 in conjunction with the Club Richelieu of Lowell.
This French Oratorical Contest is meant to engender and encourage the study of the French language by area high school students.
This year’s students presented a short speech about a social networking site and its value for learning French. Participants were recognized for their skill in French and awarded cash prizes from the Club Richelieu of Lowell.
Three contestants participated in the public speaking competition.
First Place: Anna Gorovits, Andover High School (Olga Kostousova, Teacher)
Second Place: Joanna Green, Tewksbury Memorial High School (Melanie Ryan, Teacher)
Third Place: Arianna Parks, Chelmsford High School (Mairin Chagnon, Teacher)
As the winner of the event, Gorovits will continue to the regional competition to be held at The Establishment in Chelmsford, on Saturday, March 28.
