Chelmsford High Theatre Guild up for 13 TAMYs

“Beauty and the Beast” earns nominations for Best Overall Production, Visual Excellence

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (May 29, 2025) – The Chelmsford High School Theatre Guild has compiled 13 nominations for the Mount Wachusett Community College’s Theatre at the Mount (TAMY) Awards, which recognizes exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theatre in area high schools.

The nominations were based on the Guild’s production of “Beauty and the Beast,” which ran from Nov. 18-20 at the Carl J. Rondina Performing Arts Center.

Among the many nominations, “Beauty and the Beast” is one of four shows nominated for Best Overall Production in the large school division.

Six CHS student-actors received nominations in individual categories while the CHS cast received eight nominations in ensemble categories.

Alex Kurth as Maurice and Lily Rogers as Belle are nominated for a Dynamic Duo TAMY Award for their performance of “No Matter What” during the Chelmsford High School Theatre Guild’s production of “Beauty and the Beast.”

Among the individual nominations, junior Lily Rogers received a nod for Best Performance in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Belle, while senior Jocelyn Pica (Mrs. Potts) and sophomore Adam Pinto (Lumiere) earned nominations for Best Performance in a Supporting Role.

Senior Bella Travers also received a Best Performance in a Featured Role nomination for her portrayal of the Wardrobe.

Award winners in all categories will be announced Sunday, June 1, at the TAMY Awards Gala at MWCC in Gardner, Mass. The event, which begins at 6 p.m., will be livestreamed on the college’s website.
