The Sun: Chelmsford’s Kyra Ward named top MVC volleyball player

Kyra Ward of Chelmsford and Kaitlyn Van of Lowell netted Merrimack Valley Conference Player of the Year honors in volleyball.
Ward, a junior, was named Division 1’s top player, while Van, a senior, was selected the top player in Division 2.
Jim Sullivan of Tewksbury was named the Tony Hajjar Memorial Coach of the Year in Division 2. The Division 1 recipient was Edgar Valdez of Chelmsford.
Six area standouts were named to the MVC first team.
