The Sun: Powerful Kyra Ward major reason Chelmsford High off to 16-0 volleyball start

During the second set of Wednesday’s match, Chelmsford High junior Kyra Ward made a mistake, hitting the ball into the net and giving Andover a one-point lead.

Seconds later, she refocused and sported an “I’m going to take this match over” look.

And she did.

She got the next kill, and then set up two teammates for two more kills, before icing the game with a powerful strike for yet another kill, which led the Lions to the second set come-from-behind victory and eventually the 3-0 sweep to keep the team’s perfect start going.
