The Sun: Chelmsford native Chevonne Forgan about to realize her Olympic dreams

It doesn’t quite feel real yet for Chelmsford native Chevonne Forgan.
Forgan, a 2018 graduate of Chelmsford High, is set to compete in the Winter Olympics as part of Team USA’s first-ever women’s doubles luge team with teammate Sophia Kirkby.
Placing fifth in Winterberg, Germany, earlier this month in the final Olympic qualifying race, Forgan and Kirkby officially punched their ticket to Italy in the fastest sport in the Olympics.
“When I was in high school and doing luge, making the Olympic team just seemed like such a faraway goal,” said Forgan, 25. “It was definitely a dream, but it wasn’t one that quite seemed attainable yet.”
