Chelmsford High School announces February Students of the Month

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (March 8, 2024) – Six seniors were recently honored as Chelmsford High School named its Lions Pride/Rotary Student of the Month recipients for February, announced CHS Principal Stephen Murray.

Students receiving recognition were Audrey Rice and Aashvi Doshi from Emerson House, Tyler Connors and Sritha Sithalam of Hawthorne House and Rohan Madhukumar and Lyla Kiloski from Whittier House.

Audrey Rice

A hard-working student athlete, Ms. Rice is currently enrolled in AP Calculus, AP Literature and Composition, AP Environmental Science, AP Art, Honors Physics, Intermediate Architecture and Civil Engineering and Physical Education.

Ms. Rice has been inducted into National Honor Society (NHS), Science National Honor Society (SNHS), National English Honor Society (NEHS) and National Spanish Honor Society (SHH).

She is also involved in several clubs and activities, including Class Representatives, Red Cross Club and Speech & Debate Club.

Described as “an asset to any environment,” Ms. Rice is the senior captain of the varsity swim team, and has earned numerous accolades in and out of the pool. She is also an active member of the spring track and field team.

Ms. Rice plans to attend a four-year university to study engineering.

She is the daughter of Kara and Dan Rice.

Aashvi Doshi

An extremely diligent student, Ms. Doshi is taking Anatomy and Physiology, EEC3, AP Psychology, Modern World Literature, Spanish II and AP Stats this semester.

When she’s not focused on her studies, Ms. Doshi can be found volunteering with Chelmsford Public Schools’ after-school program, serving as a junior counselor at three different elementary schools.

She also dedicates her free time to the CHS Poetry Club and teaches traditional Bollywood Dance to young children.

Described as someone who has “dreams of changing the world,” Ms. Doshi is an incredible communicator who speaks five languages.

Ms. Doshi plans to attend a four-year university to study psychology, with hopes of one day becoming a child psychologist.

She is the daughter of Abhay and Nipi Doshi.

Tyler Connors

An exceptionally dedicated individual, Mr. Connors is embracing a rigorous course load this semester, taking Modern World Literature, Pre-Calaculus, Reality Check, E-Commerce Marketing, Sociology and AP Psychology.

Described as “a role model for his peers,” Mr. Connors is a member of NHS and participates in the CHS mentoring program.

Mr. Connors is a standout member of the baseball and basketball teams at CHS.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Connors can be found volunteering with Chelmsford Youth Baseball’s Christmas Tree Sale and Learn to Play Coach Program, as well as teaching fundamentals during unified basketball games.

Mr. Connors plans to continue his education, attending college to major in sports management with a minor in turfgrass management.

He is the son of Tammy Sousa and Jim Connors.

Sritha Sithalam

A Stellar student, Ms. Sithalam  is currently enrolled in AP Calculus, Clay and Sculpture, Biotech 2, Studio 1 Art, Reality Check, Modern World Literature, AP Statistics, AP Psychology and AP U.S. Government and Politics.

Her commitment to learning has gained her membership into NHS and SHH.

Ms. Sithalam is also active in several extracurriculars, including Interact Club, GIVE Club, the CHS Dance Team, Class Representatives, the CHS Mentoring Program and the Wings Initiative.

She is also a member of the girls cross country and track teams at CHS.

When not focused on her studies, Ms. Sithalam can often be found volunteering; she has accumulated over 150 volunteer hours during her high school career.

In the fall, Ms. Sithalam plans to attend UMass Amherst to major in informatics with a concentration on health and life science.

She is the daughter of Satyavani and Sathish Sithalam.

Rohan Madhukumar

A dedicated student, Mr. Madhukumar is enrolled in English, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, Pre-Calculus and Digital Music, and has been inducted into NHS.

Described as “a unique and charismatic individual,” Mr. Madhukumar is very involved in the CHS community as a member of Student Council, Class Representatives, Physics Club and the Career Creations Club.

He is currently serving as the president of the Class of 2024, planning many events to help create a great and memorable senior year for himself and his classmates.

Mr. Madhukumar is currently undecided on his future plans.

He is the son of Madhukumar Venkatesh and Archana Govinde Gowda.

Lyla Kiloski

Known for her “unwavering dedication to academia,” Ms. Kiloski is currently enrolled in Concert Choir, Reality Check, Modern World Literature, Introduction to Statistics, Communications and Media and Environmental Science.

She is a member of NHS and Tri-M Honor Society.

Ms. Kiloski is heavily involved in the CHS community as a member of LIME, CHSTv, CHS Theater, CPS Tech and the CHS Mentor Program. She has worked on numerous theater productions, both with outside organizations and for Chelmsford Public Schools.

After graduating, Ms. Kiloski hopes to double-major in either Sports Management and Communications or Sports Media and Communications.

She is the daughter of Bill and Deena Kiloski.
