CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (Jan. 27, 2025) – Seven Chelmsford High School student-musicians who took part in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) All-State Auditions at Shrewsbury High School on Saturday, Jan. 25, have been selected for this year’s All-State Festival.
Christy Whittlesey, the K-12 Fine and Performing Arts Coordinator for Chelmsford Public Schools, said being accepted into the All-State Festival is a tremendous honor.
“This will be an exciting opportunity for these young musicians as they rehearse with peers from across the state, learn from world-class conductors, and perform at Boston’s Symphony Hall on Saturday, March 29,” she said.
Whittlesey also applauded instructors Matt Sexauer and Amanda Roeder, who have helped the students achieve this level of success at CHS.
“Kudos to our amazing high school music teachers for facilitating these students’ auditions and festival registration, and to the K-12 music team for all they do to support our students’ development as musicians and leaders,” she said.
