The Sun: Chelmsford High sophomore Gable Gray smashes javelin records

CHELMSFORD – Gable Gray isn’t one to throw caution to the wind.

With javelin in hand, the Chelmsford High sophomore track standout is nothing but meticulous in his approach. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound track star wields the instrument with poise and precision. And when he unleashes the throw, a number of school records have fallen in its wake.

“It was unbelievable,” said Gray. “It was one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever felt. The week before I threw 192, but they messed up the measurement. So just to prove that I could throw that far was a great feeling.”
