The Sun: Chelmsford’s Thomas Brown, ST’s James Tildsley win NE wrestling crowns

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — For Thomas Brown, success was even sweeter the second time around.

The Chelmsford High junior successfully defended his New England title with a convincing 6-0 win over rival Alex Bajoras of St. John’s Prep during a 285-pound match at the New England Interscholastic Wrestling Championships at Providence Career & Technical Academy.

Brown was not the only local wrestler to bring home a title. Also crowned a New England champ was Shawsheen Tech star James Tildsley.

Brown continues to ride a wave of success, securing heavyweight titles over the past month, winning sectionals, states and All-States with equal aplomb.
