Wrestler, football player battles rare cancer

CHELMSFORD – In December 2019, Nik Sperounis was a promising young athlete on the Chelmsford High School wrestling team.
The 145-pound freshman was determined to crack the varsity lineup.
His athleticism, work ethic and team-first attitude helped him emerge as a starter, finishing around the .500 mark in the tough Merrimack Valley Conference.
