The Chelmsford High School Model United Nations Club sent 12 delegates to the UMass Lowell Model UN 2025.

Chelmsford High delegates attend UMass Lowell Model UN

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (April 2, 2025) – Chelmsford High School‘s Model United Nations Club sent 12 delegates to the UMass Lowell Model UN 2025, which was held March 27-29.

The three-day conference was attended by nearly 200 students from 15 schools.

The CHS team was awarded top honors by being named UML MUN Best Delegation 2025. This award is a nod to the students’ understanding of global issues, strategic planning and public speaking.

“It is well-deserved and we are proud of them all,” said Stephanie Quinn, the History/Social Sciences Department Coordinator for Chelmsford Public Schools.

Five students earned individual awards:

  • Lex Petrova, junior: Outstanding Delegate Disarmament and Security Council, Germany
  • Ayaan Srivastava, junior: Outstanding Delegate UN Security Council, Greece
  • Anika Varma, junior: 3rd Place – NATO, Greece
  • Riley Tambo, junior: 3rd Place – Human Rights Committee, Germany
  • Molly Zeng, sophomore: 3rd Place – UN Women, Brazil

Additionally, two CHS alumni and current UML students, Ronan Dowd and Evan Nash, served as Co-Chairs of committees for UML’s International Relations Club.
