Chelmsford DECA students compete at Career Development Conference

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (March 26, 2024) – Ten Chelmsford High School students competed at the Massachusetts DECA State Career Development Conference, which was held March 7-9 at the Marriott Copley Hotel and Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

Over 3,000 students from across the state attended, competing in marketing, finance, hospitality, management and entrepreneurship events.

Chelmsford students who earned the opportunity to compete at the state level by placing in their district conference include:

Seniors:

  • Sahiti Chaturvedula
  • Vaishnavi Gupta
  • Rishika Mukka

Juniors:

  • Pranav Aburri
  • Arvind Rao

Sophomores:

  • Pranav Ajmera
  • Ethan Jiang
  • Vinay Murugar
  • Daksh Santhosh

Freshman:

  • Molly Zeng

Pranav Aburri (Financial Consulting) and Arvind Rao (Business Financial Services) earned the title of State Champions in their respective events.

These two students have earned their way to represent Massachusetts DECA at the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California, at the end of April.

They will be joined by Ethan Jiang, who will be participating in the DECA Leadership Development Academy.
