Chelmsford High artist selected for exhibition at UMass Lowell

CHELMSFORD, Massachusetts (Nov. 30, 2023) – Chelmsford High School senior Lani Petrova has been accepted into UMass Lowell’s 3rd Regional Juried High School Exhibition, which showcases some of the best high school art in the region.
“This show is a wonderful opportunity for local high school student artists to share their work with the public in a venue outside of Chelmsford High School,” said Allison Gover, art teacher at CHS. “Lani is a very talented and dedicated artist who pushes themselves to create work that is expressive, well-crafted and creative. I am very proud of Lani for being accepted into this show!”
Petrova’s piece, titled “Identity,” is a mixed media self-portrait. It will be exhibited along with the works of other high school students from around the region at UMass Lowell’s University Gallery.
Their work will be on display from Dec. 7-14; a closing reception and award ceremony will be held Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.
Gallery hours are Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Gallery events are free and open to the public, and the space is accessible to all.
