What is the Junior Job Shadow?
The Junior Job Shadow Day at Chelmsford High School is a school-wide initiative for the entire junior class to explore careers of interest. Students are responsible for contacting a potential job shadow site to arrange their job shadow experience.
This is an opportunity for juniors to follow an employee at their workplace to learn more about an occupation or industry. The purpose of job shadowing is to help students explore a range of career options.
For this to be a meaningful, successful experience, a student should shadow someone, a site mentor, who works in a career of potential interest to that student. The student experiences one-on-one interaction with the site mentor during the shadow period.
